Religious Freedom Film Competition

Empower Women Media (EWM) and the Religious Freedom & Business Foundation (RFBF) are pleased to host the Religious Freedom Film Competition.

The goal of the competition is to challenge filmmakers around the world to produce short films that showcase how inclusivity and multi-faith living in the workplace leads to innovation and thriving communities.

Women working around a table

Special attention given to the rights of:

• Women

Religious Minorities

• Displaced Peoples

As requested, storytellers may receive coaching to produce their films according to submission guidelines. The winning films will screen before world-class CEOs, UN partners and NGO leaders of the Global Business & Peace Awards in Tokyo. The grand prize winner will receive a cash prize and a trip to present her work at the awards (if travel regulations permit).

The 3-minute films should be artful and compelling explorations of the impact of freedom of belief and multi-faith living in the workplace and community, and how this helps empower women, religious minorities, and displaced communities. Filmmakers may choose to create short narratives of real-life business leaders who encourage people to bring their whole self to work.

Whether inspired by real-life events or fictional, animated, or experimental, the films should thoughtfully seek to affirm that inclusion, freedom of belief and multi-faith living are good for business.
