Zahra’s New World is a comedic drama about Zahra, a Saudi, who comes to Southern California to study English and ends up sharing an apartment with Jenna, a 20-year-old Orange County student. Jenna and Zahra have two funny neighbors – Shirin, an Iranian wanna-be actress, and Yafa, a Palestinian who has started to go to church with Jenna. With pressures from family back home and the adjustment to a new culture, every day has its share of laughs and challenges.
We are excited for you to explore the cross-cultural world of these women and in their stories see experiences to which you might be able to relate. There are so many misconceptions about different cultures and religions in the world today, especially those that divide East and West.

Zahra, a devout Saudi, comes to Southern California to study and finds herself stranded until she meets Jenna, a charmingly awkward college student, and her neighbors, Shirin and Yafa.
Ep. 2: Modesty Mayhem
Zahra gets a FaceTime call from her cousin, Ahmad, and has her first English lesson with her tutor, Kelly, who isn’t who she expects.
Ep. 3: Homesick
Zahra is homesick, so Jenna, Shirin, and Yafa take her to Hollywood to cheer her up.
Ep. 4: Eyeshadow and Egg Rolls
Zahra gives Jenna a make-over. That night, Zahra eavesdrops as Jenna hosts her Bible study.
Ep. 5: A Halal Thanksgiving
Jenna is excited to help Zahra experience her first Thanksgiving.
Ep. 6: A Christmas Visit
As Christmas approaches, Zahra and her friends exchange gifts and Cousin Ahmad visits with marriage on his mind.
